Master Feedback - a leadership skill that drives
team performance
A transformational live online workshop for
managers and leaders to learn impactful communication
What happens when feedback goes wrong
You’re leading in a world of nonstop pressure — rapid change, tight timelines, high expectations.
And under that pressure, even the best intentions can be misheard, misread or misunderstood.
When feedback slips, so does clarity, trust and performance.
Safety breaks down
People shut down when feedback feels like criticism (low psychological safety).
Clarity gets lost
Vague, rushed, or delayed feedback leaves people guessing what to do.
Trust fades
Personal attacks or over-focus on negatives make people defensive.
Performance suffers
One-off “feedback events” don’t change behavior, and problems repeat.
Why Feedback Feels So Hard
- It feels risky. People worry about damaging relationships or trust.
- It triggers emotions. Feedback often feels personal, even when it’s about the work.
- It’s uncomfortable. Most leaders were never taught how to do it well, so it's easier to avoid it.
- It gets misinterpreted. Stress, tone, or vagueness can make the message unclear.
- It requires balance. Leaders must be honest but also supportive — not an easy mix.
And yet, without it, performance suffers, engagement drops, and trust erodes.
BUT feedback can become easier, safer, and more effective with the right mindset and tools.
You don’t need more feedback tips — you need stronger foundations
It’s not about clever phrases or one-off techniques.
Feedback only drives performance when it’s built on trust, safety and real connection.
Without that foundation, even the best feedback bounces off.
You might be thinking:
Can a workshop really help me build deeper trust with my team?
Will this actually change how my team experiences feedback day to day?
Can I actually build a culture where feedback feels safe and useful?
These are real concerns.
